Africa 2013 - Nairobi Hotel First Impressions

We're here.  The airport was simple, traffic was almost non-existent, and the hotel  is very nice. We're using The Norfolk as our home-base between the gorilla trekking, the Samburu portion of the trip, and the rest of the itinerary.  I found it nice enough that I decided to forgo a full nights sleep (again) and go take pictures.  Big surprise, eh?  With only a monopod, I had to rely on my Canon 1DX and it's low-light capabilities to give me usable photos in the dark.  I think they turned out well enough for what amounted to a quick walk-and-shoot tour of the grounds.  You be the judge.

Tomorrow (Thursday) we will have a morning of leisure with breakfast around 9:30.  We depart at noon for a flight to Kigali Rwanda and the true beginning of our Safari
